For Officals
Current referee pay rates:
1st year ref = $25 per game
2nd year and above ref:
Squirt game = $30
PeeWee game = $35
Bantam game = $40
Playdowns and State tournament game rates are set each year by WAHA.
If you may choose to work at other rinks your pay rate is subject to their in house rates.
ANNUAL OFFICIATING MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
LEVEL 1 REFEREE REQUIREMENTS: MUST be 12 years of age in Wisconsin to become a referee!
- Submit online USA Hockey Officiating Membership application and fee ($55.00) & WHO application and fee ($12.00) all done through the USA registration page.
- Complete a L1 officiating classroom seminar sanctioned by USA Hockey
- Complete L1 Online Education Module training
- Complete online L1 Playing Rules Exercise
- Complete SafeSport training (if 2008 Birth Year, or older)
- Complete and maintain a USA Hockey sanctioned NCSI Background Screen if 18(+) years old on May 1, 2025.
